We gather to start a short protest march through downtown Fairbanks. We end up at a location where we have live music going on, as well as performances by other locals - maybe a drag show or FLOW or dancers or something...or a bunch of somethings. Maybe we could arrange for some food trucks to show up?
Purpose: The main purpose is to protest the removal of DEI. We want it to be reinstated immediately. The secondary purpose is also to protest the Trump administration.
Goal: We want DEI reinstated in businesses, UAF, institutions, and government agencies. We want the state to tell Trump that we will not be bullied into his unamerican demands.
When: Summer 2025
Where: Downtown Fairbanks

Look The Part: You may ask, is there anything we're supposed to wear? Sure. This is a fucking jumble of diversity, ethnicities, celebration of who we are, and a protest. Golden gloves, Guy Fawkes (V for Vendetta) mask, PRIDE wear, clothing representing your ethnicity, Captain America and Superman costumes, drag, etc.

What sparked this idea?
I was thinking about Berlin's Fuckparade because I was re-watching that techno viking video. Fuckparade was started in the late 90s as a protest against the corporate world, gentrification, etc. It's a techno parade that leads to a techno music festival.I got to thinking that Fairbanks has a fair amount of: musicians, artists, performers, pagans and heathens, drag queens, minorities, LGBTQ+, and people who approve of diversity within our community. If we could come together, we could make an impact.
